From a local paper in Burlington, Vermont where I now live. I should add "Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War" to my list of currently published titles. I also have animation work in the upcoming Empire Earth 3.

 

BURLINGTON , Vt. Champlain College recently welcomed Josh Buck of South Burlington as a faculty member in its Electronic Game & Interactive Development program. Buck was a production artist and lead animator at Stainless Steel Studios in Boston as well as a freelance animator. As an assistant professor at Champlain, he teaches three-dimensional animation courses.

Buck has designed, created and animated hundreds of characters, buildings and vehicles for award-winning, AAA-rated personal computer game titles and real-time gaming environments. Among the game titles he's worked on are Empire Earth, the winner of a Gamespy Award for PC Game of the Year, and Empires: Dawn of the Modern World, one of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' Top 5 Computer Strategy Games of the Year. Both are used as classroom teaching tools at the US Air Force Academy. Empire Earth sold more than two million copies and was published in seven languages. Buck's artwork has also been published in games by Sierra, Activision, Midway and Vivendi Universal Games.

Buck holds a BFA from the University of Rhode Island and an MFA in Computer Art & Animation from Savannah College of Art & Design.
